About hollowe

hollowe (pronounced “hollow”), an all-original rock band from the Utica, New York area, took Central New York by storm from 2001 to 2003 — originals only, in a scene full of cover bands. Those years brought an early demo, the popular hold on album, and a win at WOUR 96.9’s Battle of the Bands in 2002.

Since then, hollowe stopped touring, and its members moved into other projects — Chokeslam, Nineball, Jocko the Giant, Idol Hands, Element of All, Anthony’s solo work, and more. The music of hollowe lives on, and their strongest work has yet to be released! The planned no regard for gravity EP was never finalized. hollowe plans to mix, master, and release it in October 2027 to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of hold on, along with live recordings from various venues.

hollowe is…

Anthony Di Pasqua

Anthony Di Pasqua

vocals, rhythm guitar, mandolin

From Sauquoit, NY

Anthony has always had a great love for music. From the day his father taught him his first few chords, he chased musical knowledge — voice, guitar, and mandolin — and turned everyday life into catchy melodies with strong hooks. As hollowe’s primary songwriter, he wrote songs people could love and relate to.

He’s still writing and recording today, with many solo recordings at anthonydipasqua.com, and he stays closely involved with hollowe’s music.

Mike Griffin

Mike Griffin

percussion

From Chadwicks, NY

Mike has been behind the kit since childhood, bringing an eclectic drumming style — classic rock and beyond — into hollowe’s original sound. He also spent time as an interim member of the popular cover band 13 Steps To Nowhere.

He never stopped playing. He sat in as a guest drummer with Nineball, joined Jeremy and Dallas in the modern-rock band Element of All around 2014, then spent years in the outrageous cover band Chokeslam with Dallas and their friends Mike Johnson, Anthony “Zee” Donaldson, and Paul Fullem. He also played in Jocko the Giant with Jeremy.

Today he’s still drumming.

Jeremy Kozak

Jeremy Kozak

bass guitar

From Utica, NY

Jeremy was introduced to rock by his father, tried saxophone in school, then found his home on bass. Influenced by grunge, classic rock, and modern rock, he practiced for hours learning the songs he loved. His approach was simple: write bass lines he’d want to hear himself.

Beyond hollowe he played in Idol Hands, around 2014 in Element of All with Mike and Dallas, and later with Mike in Jocko the Giant.

Bass is still a big part of his life, and he keeps playing whenever he can.

Dallas Sheppard

Dallas Sheppard

lead guitar

From Clayville, NY

Dallas grew up in a small Central New York town and has been serious about guitar since his earlier years. In hollowe he felt true to his own style — taking hard moments and turning them into something that lives on in the music.

He studied at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, played for years in the Utica-area original rock band Nineball, formed the modern-rock band Element of All with Mike and Jeremy around 2014, and later spent many years with Mike in Chokeslam. In 2017 he played guitar on Chuck Mosley’s Reintroduce Yourself tour. More recently he’s been playing with the Max Scialdone Project.
